Workshop for Women: Intro to Tools

  • Starts May 23
  • 35 US dollars
  • East Cooke Road

Available spots.

Have you ever needed a tool and didn't know its correct name, or even if it was the most efficient tool for the job? In this workshop, we will have a variety of hand and power tools for you to try out. We'll go over the appropriate ways to safely handle tools and most importantly, you'll also have the opportunity to practice your skills with some good, old-fashioned hands-on fun. Our goal with this workshop is to offer a comfortable and fun space where you can build your confidence in your own personal DIY adventures! You will leave this workshop with a packet of information (including online links) regarding hand and power tools for your future reference. ALL skill levels are encouraged. INSTRUCTOR: This class is taught by industry professionals, and offered through Central Ohio Women in the Trades. COWIT is a nonprofit organization focused on the education, recruitment, and retention of women within the various trade unions around central Ohio. >> NOTE: If you have a small group interested in our construction classes, we can arrange a special class for 8 attendees! Just drop us a note at info@ColumbusGardenSchool.com for more details.
