  • East Cooke Road

Ready to grow food year-round? Want to end weeding and grow plants faster? In this class, we’ll explore the fascinating world of soilless cultivation, where plants thrive in nutrient-rich water solutions, LECA, and coco coir and vermiculite blends. This in-person course will equip you with the following essential knowledge and practical skills: > Setting up both active and passive hydroponic systems > Using self-watering containers with soilless mediums, > Assessing lighting needs for indoor growing > Choosing nutrient blends > Plant selection INSTRUCTOR: Lori Scoby started her indoor gardening journey in 2020 after buying a small tabletop hydroponic unit. She fell in love and now has food growing in half the rooms in her house, and yes, her husband does support her addiction, especially when he gets to eat the fruit of her labors. Lori and her husband have also converted much of their front yard in Worthington into a native plant habitat, with a focus on medicinal plants, and much of their backyard into outdoor food gardens.
