DIY Honey Mead-Making Workshop
Available spots.
From Egypt and Ethiopia, Europe and Asia, honey wine is an ancient fermentation that's not only widespread and tasty, but also super easy and a great stepping stone into the art of homebrewing. Whether you're an experienced homebrewer and want to branch out, or a new convert who's just starting out, this class will show you what all the buzz is about. We'll go through the basics of the brewing process, get hands on with local honey, and discuss some additions you can add to make the wine your own. Brewing supplies will be available for an extra charge. Invite your partner, friend, or family member because two sets of sticky hands are better than one when dealing with this tasty concoction! PRICE OPTIONS Class only - no equipment = $35 Class + fermentation vessel and air lock = $55 Learn how to make honey mead and get started on a journey of experimentation, fermentation, and libation. INSTRUCTOR: David Williams was sent to play outside with the neighbor kids and hasn’t come back in for over 20 years. Instead of getting into mischief and building forts in the woods, he now spends his time teaching others about edible plants both native and introduced, brewing his own wine, and writing horror poetry. A wine snob he is NOT, the wine he brews doesn’t even have grapes in it!
