Cook Like An Herbalist - 3 Class SERIES
"Let your food be your medicine." Whether Hippocrates uttered these words or not doesn’t matter. What matters is the deep wisdom it conveys. Food can be the ultimate nourishment to help us thrive. Did you know that herbs and spices aren’t just for the teapot? Their flavor and medicine can be integrated into your daily food preparations to support you physical and mental health. In our "Cook Like An Herbalist Series" we’ll share tips and tricks to help you on this culinary journey. We won’t preach about the best diet and what you shouldn’t eat. Instead, we’ll focus on what you can. Our "Cook Like an Herbalist" SERIES focuses on food for FLAVOR and NOURISHMENT. > SOUPS & BROTHS (2/21) We'll create a rich veggie soup with pillowy Hungarian cloud dumplings (and a gluten-free option). We'll make a broth that will be your best defense against colds, flu, and whatever else ails you. You will go home with knowledge, a full belly, and a starter kit to make your own immune-supporting broth at home. > HEALTHY SNACKS & TREATS (2/28) Indulgences don’t have to make us feel guilty. Delicious treats can be made without harmful ingredients. We’ll focus on delightful desserts, healthy protein and (good) fat-rich snacks. We will create and savor a variety of tasty bites, and finish with a variety of herbal mocktails. > FRESH PASTA: OODLES of NOODLES (3/7) There is a pasta for everyone and it turns out that you CAN add your favorite herbs to that delicious dough. Add beets for red color, or nettles and basil for green. And it’s not just a fancy color; these added herbs will deliver extra nutrients. Each class is hands-on, provides generous tasting samples, and you ALWAYS take home goodies! Attend our workshops with a friend so you can create long-lasting, fun, and DELICIOUS memories. BUY THE WORKSHOP SERIES (3 classes) at $120 -- and SAVE $15! If you'd like to take just one or two classes, please register for them individually at $45/class. Individual class registration opens on Feb. 15; priority is given to students enrolling in the 3-part series.
