The trouble with succulents ... is that they are addictive! Colorful, drought-tolerant, and spreads quickly without becoming a pest. Most prefer full sunshine but will take a bit of shade, too. Succulents prefer ordinary garden soil with great drainage. They all flower, often with yellow, magenta, or white blossoms. And if they're happy, THEY'RE HAPPY.
These are all cold-hardy plants and have proven themselves here at the Columbus Garden School. Most have been living outdoors, in the ground, for the 5+ years, through blizzards and droughts, with nary a problem. I finally realized I should share more of these tough, beautiful plants! We have 3 varieties, mostly sedums, but we add more all the time.
Plant anytime except late fall/winter. If you're on a budget, your patience will be rewarded! Eventually knits together to suppress weed growth. Great for stone walls, live roofs, troughs, or a gently draping massed groundcover.
Well-rooted individual plants in 2" pots are just $4 each.
