We have 'Glaskins Perpetual' rhubarb plants this year. While this variety doesn't get very red in our garden, it is DELICOUS! 'Glaskins' can be harvested over a longer period than the common 'Victoria' variety due to a lower oxalic acid content in the stalks. We use this rhubarb in pies, jams, cobblers, compotes, and more. Rhubarb adds a lovely depth of flavor when used alongside apples in recipes. 
 
Give this perennial plant 3' x 3' in a sunny/part-shade area where it can grow year after year. All rhubarb appreciates plenty of compost and good drainage. Use an all-purpose vegetable fertilizer in early spring after growth resumes. With proper care, don't be surprised if your rhubarb plant doubles in size each year! Very cold hardy in zones 3-8. 
 
Slight size differences in plant divisions in 1-gallon pots. You choose your plant when you come for pickup. First come, first served! Plants were divided in March and will have smaller roots until scheduled planting date in mid-May (but you can purchase your rhubarb now). 
 
UPDATE: We have 2 LARGER rhubarb plants that were divided in 2025 and have been enthusiastically growing in their pots for over a year. They've emerged from their winter slumber bigger than ever! Instead of dividing them into thirds (the financially sound choice), we just want to sell them AS IS for $22.
