Hostas are low-maintenance, shade-loving perennials prized for their lush, varied foliage in colors like green, blue, and yellow, often with striking patterns. They feature bell-shaped lavender or white flowers that bloom on tall stalks in late spring or summer. Hostas prefer moist, well-drained, organically rich soil and are excellent for woodland gardens and beds. Best in morning sun and afternoon shade. 
 
We have two varieties for sale. While we are uncertain of their pedigree, we can tell you they've thrived here at CGS! Over time, each plant will expand the create a beautiful clump of foliage and summer flowers. 
 
Variegated hostas are prized for their multi-colored leaves. These natural genetic traits create visually striking foliage and vary in pattern depending on the cultivar. Our plants have a dark green center accompanied by a strong cream edge. The ones that have bloomed for us so far have a delightfully fragrant, crisp white stem of long-lasting flowers. 
 
Chartreuse, vibrant yellow-green leaves are the feature of our other hosta variety. It's a wonderful color to brighten a dark spot in the shade garden.
