Each year, we grow four-packs of native tall-grass prairie plants to help you build your Ohio pollinator habitat. You get 4 different plants in Set B:
 
Agastache foeniculum (anise hyssop) 36”H. Purple blossoms pop open in intervals, providing a long nectar season for bumblebees, hummingbirds, and butterflies. It smells like anise or licorice. Once established, Anise Hyssop is drought tolerant and deer resistant. Blooms June through September.
 
Asclepias tuberosa (butterfly weed) 24”H. The vivid orange color, low mounded profile, and ability to attract and sustain butterflies (including monarchs) make this plant a well-known landscape favorite for all types of gardens. Needs full sun in a well-drained area. Blooms June/July/Aug.
 
Echinacea purpurea (purple coneflower) 48”H. This plant has it all: adaptability to sun and soil, deer-resistance, bee-and-butterfly magnet, and COLOR. And when she’s happy in her spot, she’s HAPPY. Blooms July/Aug/Sept.
 
Schizachyrium scoparium (little bluestem) 36”H. Very drought tolerant, but does well in moist situations too. Beautiful blue-green color in the summer and after the first frost turns beautiful shades of brown and copper that last all winter. Excellent habitat plant for insects and birds. Blooms July/Aug/Sept/Oct.

Trays and 4-packs will be available on May 15. Earlier pickup is available, but customer is responsible for caring for immature plants.
Plants must be picked up no later than May 25. Plants not retrieved by 6/1/24 are considered abandoned and will be donated at CGS discretion.
