Each year, CGS grows four-packs of native tall-grass prairie plants to help you build your Ohio pollinator habitat. Our plants are healthy and vigorous, and you won't find a better price for this combination! And each year that you shop the CGS Prairie 4-Pack plant sale, your own garden grows in biodiversity and beauty. Trays and 4-packs will be available for pickup beginning May 3.
 
You get 4* different plants in Set B:
 
Anise Hyssop (Agastache foeniculum) 36”H. Purple blossoms pop open in intervals, providing a long nectar season for bumblebees, hummingbirds, and butterflies. It smells like anise or licorice. Once established, Anise Hyssop is drought tolerant and deer resistant. Blooms June through September.
 
Aromatic Aster (Symphyotrichum oblongifolium) 24"H. Enjoy blooms well into late autumn! The stiff stems will branch out slowly to create a bush-like appearance and will be completely covered in light purple flowers when blooming. The flowers will turn reddish purple as they mature. Despite the name, the flowers have no aroma, but the leaves do when crushed. Blooms Aug/Sept/Oct.
 
Rose Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) 48”H. A more refined, clump-forming milkweed with rosy pink blossoms. A Monarch and Swallowtail favorite with a vanilla fragrance! Blooms June/July/Aug. 
 
Side Oats Grama Grass (Bouteloua curtipendula) 24”H. A warm season grass that sports its tiny attractive flowers during the summer bloom time. It is cited as a food source or larval host for at least five types of skipper moths. Blooms Aug/Sept. 
 
* In the event a plant fails to grow, we will substitute a plant of equal value. You will be notified before pickup.

Trays and 4-packs will be available beginning May 3. Earlier pickup is available, but customer is responsible for caring for immature plants.
 
Please pick up your plant(s) no later than May 16, 2025. Plants not retrieved by May 16 are considered abandoned (no refunds) and will be donated at CGS discretion. 
 
Pickup is at the Columbus Garden School, 1350 E. Cooke Rd, Columbus OH 43224. We'll send you an email when your order is ready for pickup.
