The most vigorous, prodigous strawberry we've ever grown! Healthy and well-rooted. Ever-bearing/day-neutral plants means you get fruit all summer long. "Day-neutral plants typically have three peaks of production each year: one in late May or June, one in midsummer, and one from August through frost." (Via NourseFarms.com) This is an *exquisitely sweet* berry you won't find in any store because it's too delicate for shipping. Truly a treat to eat. According to the description from www.davesgarden.com,

Despite various claims, ‘Mara des Bois' is not a wild strawberry or an antique variety. It's a fairly new hybrid of the "regular" garden strawberry, Fragaria ananassa, developed for its intense flavor by strawberry breeder Jacques Marionnet ... The berries don't travel as well as grocery store varieties, but they have GREAT gourmet appeal to local growers and home gardeners.

We did not expect to be selling strawberries but these 'Mara Des Bois' berries just explode with "daughter" offsets every year! Add a handful of plants to your garden and enjoy fresh strawberries this summer. Pot size 2 x 2 x 4" deep.
