There is so much more to salad than a wedge of iceberg lettuce with a few sad looking croutons and ranch dressing out of a pouch. As the seasons change so do our cravings. Move over stews and heavy meals, make room for refreshing, seasonal, veggie rich salads. During this workshop we will prepare delicious herby dressings, create a few healthy and tasty salads, and a very cool(ing) fruity “soup”. Come and check out the summer segment of Cook Like an Herbalist series. You will not leave hungry. Class fee $20 + take-home materials $10 = $30 ** Our "Cook Like an Herbalist" SERIES focuses on food for FLAVOR and NOURISHMENT. The other classes in the series: > Soups & Broths > Fresh Pasta: Oodles of Noodles > Herbs & Spices from the Garden Each class is hands-on, provides tasting samples, and you take home something you make in class for later! Due to COVID, face masks are mandatory when we are inside the classroom (except when tasting!). INSTRUCTOR: Bernadett Szabo lives in Pataskala, OH on a small herb, flower and vegetable farm. She was born in Hungary where she spent summers in her grandmother’s gardens, participating in the care, and most enthusiastically in the harvest of all fruits, berries, flowers, and veggies. Once in Ohio, Bernadett joined OEFFA to deepen her knowledge of growing food and medicinal crops. She follows deep organic practices with some biodynamic principles on her homestead.
