Intro to Solar Cyanotype!

Starts Sep 14
45 US dollars
East Cooke Road

Available spots.

Learn how to document your garden and nature around you using the sun and cyanotypes, one of the oldest forms of photography. Cyanotypes, with their rich blues, are a beautiful blend of science and art. Your instructor will guide you through the process as you watch your prints become a work of art. Each student will take home 6 finished art prints that they create! Optional: Bring an apron to protect your clothes from stains, rubber gloves, and 2 plastic grocery bags. We welcome children ages 8+ if accompanied by a guardian. (Paid registration required for all participants.) Class maximum is 12 students. INSTRUCTOR: Kellie Gedert is a native Ohio artist and educator who gets her inspiration from nature, which provides us with amazing botanical varieties with their own beauty and inspirational shapes and textures. Combining nature, process, and chance, the results are beautiful. Many ideas come from regular nature hikes that provide so much clarity for her well-being. Kellie has a BFA in Fine Arts and a Masters in Education, currently showing in the Franklinton Arts area and local galleries.
