Garden Design 2: Hands-On Practice

This class is a HANDS-ON continuation of our online Garden Design class! Join Debra at the Columbus Garden School and learn the practical basics of landscape design -- and prepare for your future garden renovations. Whether you want to DIY or work with a designer/installer, this class provides you with the tools to layout your garden vision. Site plans, accurate measurements, obstacles and opportunities, and basic design elements will be covered. A tools and materials list will be distributed prior to the class. Deb's online Garden Design class is a PREREQUISITE for this hands-on class. Class size is strictly limited to 8 students; please avoid disappointment by signing up ASAP. INSTRUCTOR: In 1992 Debra Knapke turned her avocation of plant study and gardening into her full-time career. Known as “The Garden Sage”, Debra is passionate about gardening, sustainable garden design and the natural world, and enjoys sharing knowledge through her writing, public speaking, and garden consulting in the private and public sectors. She has served on various local and national committees and boards that focus on education, the environment, and sustainability. In addition, she has mentored the future of the landscape industry at Columbus State Community College for 24 years. She loves being a gardener and has packed an amazing variety of perennials, trees, shrubs, and edibles onto the 2/3-acre lot surrounding her home.

For a full refund, please contact us at least 48 hours prior to class to cancel your registration. (Refund policy for materials fee, if applicable, may vary and is included in class description.) In most cases, you can transfer your class enrollment to a friend -- just let us know! Please note, we do NOT record or distribute our online presentations.
