Cooling Herbal Beverages
- 20 US dollars$20
It doesn’t have to be cold and gray outside to reach for our favorite herbal beverage for comfort. Herbal drinks can be prepared in ways to support you during the hot days of summer. Come taste some of my favorite preparations -- always the favorite part of the workshop -- and get tips about how to use up the bounty from your gardens. We will talk about how to make a proper warm and cold infusion. Have you ever wondered what herbal decoctions are? Are you familiar with herbal syrups? Come, taste and learn and most importantly have a great time. This is an in-person workshop held on the beautiful grounds of Columbus Garden School. We will be outside providing a safe environment for all. (We'll use the classroom if unpleasant weather makes it necessary; bring a mask** just in case.) Please bring your own mug/glass if you can. ** In light of COVID-19, all students/instructors attending indoor classes are required to wear a face mask. Class is held in a well-ventilated room and is strictly limited to 8 attendees. INSTRUCTOR: Bernadett Szabo lives in Pataskala, OH on a small herb, flower and vegetable farm. She was born in Hungary where she spent summers in her grandmother’s gardens, participating in the care, and most enthusiastically in the harvest of all fruits, berries, flowers, and veggies. Once in Ohio, Bernadett joined OEFFA to deepen her knowledge of growing food and medicinal crops. She follows deep organic practices with some biodynamic principles on her homestead.
