Before we grew raspberries at the Columbus Garden School, I did not know I could have a "favorite" raspberry!

We currently grow six varieties  at CGS and hands-down, raspberry 'Caroline' is our FAVORITE of the vigorous red raspberries. We harvest BIG juicy berries from August through the end of September. 'Caroline' is our most dependable and prolific producer, and provides most of what goes into our fruit desserts and freezer each year. A disease-resistant and adaptable all-star!

These primocane-fruiting raspberries produce fruit on first-year canes in late summer. Pruning could not be easier -- simply cut the canes to the ground in late winter each year. Each year, you get fruit in late summer! Canes grow to 4-5' tall.

BONUS: Pre-order 10 or more plants, and we'll register you for FREE into our online Cane Berries for the Backyard Workshop offered in Feb/March*. We cover everything from soil prep to planting, fertilizing, trellising, and pruning your new or existing bramble plants (raspberries and blackberries). *If you purchase your 10+ plants after the class is offered, we'll send you our class handouts.
