"Pycnanthemum muticum, Clustered Mountain Mint, is a clump forming, aromatic perennial that naturally occurs in most of the Eastern half of the United States. Given the right conditions, this plant will spread by rhizomes; if spreading is not desired you can prune the roots in the spring.

"This Mountain Mint sports leaves that are more ovate than others of the Pycnanthemum genus, but they possess the same minty aroma. From mid to late summer the foliage is adorned by clusters of small pinkish white flowers that will attract a multitude of pollinators! Despite the name, Clustered Mountain Mint and similar species in the genus do not grow in the mountains. Also called Blunt Mountain Mint or Short Toothed Mountain Mint." (Description via PrairieMoon.com, our seed source.) Grows to 3 feet high, and blooms in July/August/September.
